Windscreen for use in a High Wind environment (open window or door, but less windy than open cockpit).
Windscreens help reduce noise caused by air movement from breathing and the environment. Also protects the microphone from spit and foreign debris. Windsocks can be hand washed with soap and water to extend life (remove from microphone first).
