TROUBLESHOOTING
Smart Phone or Tablet
You will need to purchase a headphone dongle for your device, sold either by your device manufacturer or by a third-party.
If you are using this smartphone adapter sold by us, the microphone is always routed to the connected device. Otherwise, see below.
The Microphone can only be connected to one destination at a time. Either it is connected to the Aircraft or to the External Device connected via the Auxiliary Jack.
1) Set the Aircraft/Phone switch (located on top of the Aviation Controller) into the 'Phone' position.
2) Clean the plugs of the Auxiliary Cable by wiping them with a soft cloth.
3) Test the headphones separately from the HARMONY to verify that they are functioning properly.
4) Try a different Auxiliary Cord (our Aux Cords are standard four conductor cables found at most electronics retailers).
Sidetone is a function of the attached
device. Most smart phones and tablets do not provide any sidetone. If
your device does support sidetone, its output will be controlled in the
devices settings.
1) Verify that the Audio is turned up on the External Device while the HARMONY is attached.
2) Verify both the Left and Right Volume control on the Aviation Controller is turned up.
3) Clean the plugs that connect to the headphones and both plugs of the Auxiliary Cable. Be gentle to avoid bending any pins or plugs.
4) Test the headphones separately from the HARMONY to verify that they are functioning properly.
5) Try a different Auxiliary Cord (our Aux Cords are standard four conductor cables found at most electronics retailers).
