Microphone Picks Up Too Noise
1) Position the 'Talk' side of the microphone (indicated by a solid white dot just outside of the windscreen) to be pointed directly toward your mouth. The microphone should be close enough that your lips will touch the windscreen when you purse them, but not so close that they touch when you talk.
2) Adjust the
Microphone Gain to find the proper balance point between low cockpit
noise and strong transmissions.
A) On the HARMONY the thumbwheel is located on the side of the Aviation
Application Cable
B) On the UFM, there is a screw potentiometer located on the back of the housing.
