This is how I came to know of your product...
Flying the Eclipse with your mike, I fell in love.

General Aviation & Commercial Pilot, 06/03/2009
Your UFM is the best set up I have ever owned (Out of probably a dozen different headsets I have purchased). The comfort and sound quality is SECOND TO NONE. The price absolutely out does the competetion at all levels!!! I have flown Turbo Jet to Turbo Prop, on down to Bonanza's, Barron's and Cessnas - the UFM has always been VERY faithful and a pleasure to own. I have owned two different sets and never had an issue with them!

I just wanted to let you know how awesome your product is. I purchased a uflymike a couple weeks ago and love it. I've been using it in my Cessna 182. It works so nice I decided to order another one for my girlfriend since she flies with me all the time.

I also tried the Bose X over the last couple of weeks and though it was a fairly nice headset too but much desire your setup better. The Bose X is quite a bit heavier with a slight amount of clamping which I didn't care for. I found the mic on the Bose X wasn't as clear as the uflymike. I thought it needed some mic gain adjustment but that feature doesn't exist with the X. When people would talk it sounded clear in my headset, however when I did, it sounded good to others but muddy to me in the Bose X I was wearing.

As far as the uflymike, it rocks. The headset is light, the sound quality is so amazing, the mp3 input is so sweet... thanks for making an incredible headset!

I know that y'all have heard this a 100 times but this is the best headset that I have ever used. I soloed back in 1984, so I have been flying for a while. Thank you for inventing the UFLYMIKE!!!!

I have to admit that when I bought your product I thought for sure that I would be sending it back within 30 days for a refund. After our phone conversation I was still concerned that it might not work so well and it was made for the pro pilots with the airlines. The Cessna 172 I have been training in is not very quiet.

WOW was I surprised by the quality and craftsmanship of the UFLYMIKE. The product works perfectly and I am the envy of the flight school.

I know this sounds like I must be your brother or something, its just FINALLY someone made something that works as advertised.

General Aviation & Commercial Pilot, 05/17/2008:
I don't own the UflyMike, but I tried on a Captains once. Best headset I ever wore. I also tried on the Bose X at the Bose store in SAN. NO FREAKIN WAY would I ever wear that! My days of wearing a clamp for a headset are over.

Major Airline Pilot, 05/16/2008:
It (UFlyMike/QC2) is by far the best headset I've ever used in 22 years of airline flying, and FAR superior to anything on the approved list. I am disgusted with my new $500 Sennheiser and I've only used it for one trip so far, but there is NO WAY that Bose is getting one more cent from me..... especially for an overpriced, oversized aviation headset to replace one that works fine.

Major Airline Pilot, 05/12/2008:
Just flew my first 3-day with my new Telex 850 and man did that suck!!! Never knew how good my UFlyMike/QC2 was...

Major Airline Pilot, 0515/2008:
I have a Sennheiser that I used two weeks ago and I was immediately reminded just how uncomfortable it was (vs. my UFlyMike/QC). It was so uncomfortable that I consider it unacceptable.

General Aviation & Major Airline Pilot, 05/15/2008:
I just used the Telex 850 for the first time as well. In comparison to the UFlyMike/QC2 it sucks hands down. The noise cancellation in my opinion is not near as good. There is a switch on the side of the (Telex) ear piece to turn the ANR On and Off. In the OFF position I could not wear the headset for more than 5 seconds because of the NOISE / STATIC / coming through the headset speaker being too loud. NOTE: (volume control did not help control this). So if the ANR quit, this headset would be useless...

Major Airline Pilot, 05/15/2008:
I swapped my UFlyMike/Bose QC2 for a Sennheiser HMEC 46 (with my FO for a leg) and I only made it from LAX to PHX before I smiled and gave it back to him and said "Thanks!" I also gave my QC2 to my neighbor and used his TELEX 850 for an entire 3 day trip. I could only wear the headset for about 1+30 and then had to take it off and turn on the overhead speaker because it was killing my ears. I also thought the noise canceling sucked! There is no way that I would personally spend that kind of money for something that inferior...

General Aviation & Major Airline Pilot, 02/01/2008:
Those Telex ANR 850's don't even compare to the other battery operated ANR's. Not even close. I tried one and couldn't even tell if it was working compared to others I have used.

Major Airline Pilot, 02/02/2008:
I have the telex Airman ANR and the UflyMike/QC2 set. The telex is uncomfortable at best and doen't work as well as my Uflymike setup. I went back to the Plantronics molded ear spike combo for 2 days -Result was alot of missed radio calls noise, fatique and did I mention PAIN! I consider this a matter of safety of flight. I have also compared the expensive Bose X against the UFlymike/QC2 side by side in our aircraft and found the UFlyMike combo to be much more comfortable(no hot spots) more than adequate noise reduction to protect hearing plus a better value.

Military & Major Airline Pilot, 04/12/2008:
I own a Bose Aviation X and have used it for many years in the C-130 where it works perfectly (a hot mike environment). However, in ours, it is worthless. You cannot hear the other pilot talk unless they scream, the same with bells and warnings. The UFlyMike/QC2 on the other hand is perfect for the 737.

General Aviation & Major Airline Pilot, 04/14/2008:
I used the Sennheiser 45 for almost 5 years. Returned it to Sennheiser for repairs four times. I never liked it but thought I was doing right by protecting my hearing. I gave the POS away to my neighbors kid who is learning to fly after I purchsed my QC2/UFlyMike set-up...

Major Airline Pilot, 05/25/2008:
Sennheizer went dead in one ear, sent it off to get fixed, 4-6 week turnaround, so bought UFlyMike to use QCII while Sennheizer was in repair. No comparison, as we all know, the QCII/UFM was far superior in both comfort and performance. Never went back.

General Aviation & Major Airline Pilot, 05/25/2008:
I got an HMEC46 last month, and to say that I am underwhelmed is an understatement.
They say it's ANR, but there is no apparent noise attenuation happening. It does change the "SHOOOOOSH" to "SHEEEEEESH" but the volume is the same. I actually flew part of a leg with it off and never noticed. Oh, and it gets uncomfortable after about an hour and unbearable at the end of the day after a few legs........
The good thing is that you can keep both sides on and hear EVERYTHING, since it doesn't attenuate any noise.
If you were a happy UFlyMike/QC2 user, you are likely to be sorely disappointed with this headset........

General Comments From Emails
*Best investment I've made for communications in the cockpit after thirty years of trying most of the products available.

*Outstanding product, and I love it!

*By far this is the best... I have ever used.

*Great product, works great, looks great and I would recommend it to all of my co-workers.

*Best product I have ever used in my 28 years in aviation.

*The best money I have spent in aviation.

*I have found your product superior in many aspects to anything else I have tried.

*The mic attachment is superb and I have never had a problem...

*I have been flying for 24 years and the UFlyMike... is the best for clear, safe communications that I have ever used!

*If you are looking for the perfect “JET” headset — this just might be it!

*I received the new mic last week and started my flying rotation last Thursday (the first opportunity I had to use your product). To be as succinct as possible, it's awesome! As I'm sure you are aware it works perfectly on the 767. Moreover, where other guys frequently miss calls, or misinterpret communications while flying in the babel of our international world, for me the Bose and your microphone combination never missed a beat.

*I just wanted to let you know that I have flown with many of our pilots who are giving up and selling their Bose X to replace it with the QC2 and your UFlyMike like I use. The whole system is superior to the Bose X and at half the price.
